Another warehouse planned in Franklin NJ near the D&R Canal

FRANKLIN (Somerset) – The warehouse boom continues in the township.

AACTFR Property LLC is seeking preliminary and final approval of the major site plan with deviations to build a 100,125 square foot warehouse with 4,500 square feet of office space at 401 Cottontail Lane in the Somerset section.

The proposal includes parking, loading, lighting, landscaping, grading, walkways, walkways, utilities and related site improvements.

A hearing on the application will take place at the Virtual Planning Council meeting on May 5 at 7:30 p.m.

The 6.9 acre property faces the west side of Cottontail Lane in an industrial area.

Related:Bill would allow neighboring towns to enter the warehouses. How would this affect Central Jersey?

The site is an undeveloped, tree-covered property that contains a stream and wetlands. The surrounding area includes warehouses, light industrial uses, office buildings and other permitted uses.

The property has been owned by Elkins Enterprise LLC / M-Affiliates LLC since June 2003.

AACTFR Property offers a 62-space car park on the south side of the building and a 14 bay loading area at the rear of the building.

The rear portion of the site, comprising the 100-foot Delaware Corridor buffer zone and Raritan Canal Commission, would remain intact, according to the request.

Gaps are required for parking lot removal and signage.
