The owners of the White Gates Hotel in Binfield want to create larger rooms for their guests and add 10 new parking spaces.
Meanwhile in Sonning, a proposal to demolish two houses and create a 70-bed care home has come before council.
Both nominations will be decided in due course and will feature in this week’s planning roundup.

Extensions to the Bracknell Hotel (21/01154/FUL)
The owners of the White Gates Hotel in St Mark’s Road, Binfield have requested extensions to the side and rear of the building.
It currently consists of a house to the south of the site and six studios with bathrooms for the hotel to the north of the site.
The extensions would be a mix of one and two floors and were applied to enlarge the house and improve the studios.

On the ground floor, they would offer the occupants an enlarged kitchen, a living room and two dining rooms.
On the first floor, two of the three bedrooms would acquire sitting areas.
White Gates has a total of 10 parking spaces, one of which is a disabled parking space.
Construction of three new homes following partial demolition of an existing home in Sandhurst (21/01057/FUL)
The owner of 11 The Close in Sandhurst has requested the construction of three houses following the partial demolition of the existing house.
The right side of the two-bedroom house would be demolished and replaced by an extension, with the demolition necessary to provide access to three entirely new houses proposed on the site.
A new four-bedroom house would be developed to the east of the plot, and a new building offering two semi-detached four-bedroom houses would be built to the south.
Demolition of two houses to make way for a care home for Sonning (Wokingham app 220133)
Here, Aspire LPP claimants have sought blanket consent to demolish 101 and 101a Pound Lane in Sonning and replace those two houses with a 70-bed care home.
The new building would have four floors.
To justify its plan, Aspire has provided a ‘needs assessment’ by Carterwood property consultants which indicates there will be a net need of 1,095 care home beds in the borough of Wokingham by 2036 .
The house would include 30 parking spaces for residents, staff and visitors.
The submission of this plan follows an entirely separate application for an 80-bed dementia care home further down Pound Lane in Sonning.
Construction of a replacement house in Earley (Wokingham app 214179)
The owners of 40 Culver Lane in Earley have asked to demolish their two-storey, four-bedroom house and replace it with two new three-bedroom semi-detached houses.
It would be replaced by a two-and-a-half-storey building, constructed of brick with roughcast walls painted white.
Each of the two new homes would have a living room, toilet and combined kitchen and dining room on the ground floor, with three bedrooms and a bathroom on the first floor.

One parking space would be provided off-street, with additional on-street parking at Culver Lane.
The area caught national attention in December last year when contractors were seen lifting cars to paint double yellow lines in nearby Blackthorn Close.
Cars that were lifted were then hit with parking fines.
The borough council duly revoked the parking fines following complaints.
