Calendar parking begins Friday, November 12 in the town of Thief River Falls. It should end on Tuesday March 15, 2020. Usually the calendar parking starts on November 15; however, the mayor has the authority to declare a snow emergency and begin citywide parking before and after that period, if necessary. Given the expected snowfall in the region in the coming days, the timing has changed.
No parking will be allowed from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays on the avenues that stretch north and south. During the snow removal process, all vehicles parked on Avenues, Red Lake Boulevard and Alice Drive during the above period will be towed at the owners expense.
No parking will be allowed from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays in the streets stretching east and west. During the snow removal process, all vehicles parked in streets, grounds, circles, dead ends, alleys and lanes designated during the above period will be towed at the expense of the owners.
