Dogging hot spot at Hereford town center car park

The top floor of one of Hereford’s multi-storey car parks is the preferred site for dogging, according to a website listing the county’s hotspots.

The upper level of Garrick’s downtown parking lot is the unlikely location for this new take on country pursuits. CCTV cameras have so far failed to capture any knee-shaking action.

A spokesman for Herefordshire Council said: “There are CCTV cameras at this location and we are not aware of any such activity. We encourage anyone who experiences anti-social behavior to contact the police.”

A shop owner near the Garrick car park said the only anti-social element he had experienced were children on skateboards going up and down the ramps in the evening. “But that’s about it,” he said, “and they’re not really problematic, just noisy.”

The Garrick parking lot as a potential dogging location is new to him. “What is it?, he said, “the country’s new doomsday pursuit? Hunting, shooting, fishing and now dogging? The mind gets confused.”

Outdoor action in this weather, he said, is likely to have a serious effect on performance anyway, he said, “and I think you know what I mean “.

West Mercia Police have received no reports of antisocial behavior in Garrick’s parking lot.
