Larne Coastal 10k Run: the owner of the Ballygally store provides spectators with parking
Grahame Todd, owner of Spar in the village, said he was proud to support the event hosted by the Larne Athletic Club on Saturday July 3rd.
At the start of the race, Grahame met Arlene Foster, Premier and DUP leader, and discussed the importance of keeping the community spirit alive and supporting local races and initiatives such as the Larne Coastal 10K.
He said: “Spar Ballygally has been a proud sponsor of the Larne Half Marathon for the past five years, and local runners were devastated when it was canceled due to Covid and the lockdowns that resulted from it.
“It’s fantastic that this race is taking place thanks to the Larne Athletic Club, and with our store on the course, I’m delighted to cede our parking lot to supporters so they can cheer on the runners safely and socially from a distance.
“I am very proud to support the Larne Coastal Road 10K and wish the organizers and runners all the best for July 3rd.”
