East and North host college football camp
Columbus North and Columbus East football coaches Tim Bless and Eddie Vogel and their staff will host a college football camp for sixth and seventh graders entering Grades 7 and 8.
The camp will be held from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on May 17 and 19 in the north and May 18 and 20 in the east. It will not be a full contact camp and players will participate in drills emphasizing the safest and most basic techniques.
The cost is $ 50 and includes a t-shirt. Drop-in registration will be available from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. on May 17 at North.
Central to organize teaser meetings for fall sports
Central Middle School will be holding recall meetings for fall sports on May 18.
Calls will be at 6 p.m. in the café for football, at 6 p.m. in the library for men’s tennis, and at 6.30 p.m. in the gym for cross-country. Information on volleyball will be available later this summer.
Jennings selling freeway space. 50 garage sale
The Jennings County High School Athletic Booster Club is selling space in the high school front parking lot for the Highway 50 yard sale on May 22-23.
Two spaces can be purchased for $ 50, with each additional space available for $ 25. Those interested can pay for the seats with cash in the athletics office.
Northern Girls to Host Youth Soccer Skills Camp
The Columbus North Women’s Soccer Team will be hosting a free youth soccer skills camp from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. on June 2, 9, 16, 23 and July 7 and 14 at the new BCSC soccer complex for girls aged 7 to 13.
Each session will focus on developing individual skills, through small-scale activities. Players will be coached by current and past players from the North.

Northern girls make hoops for youth summer camp
Columbus North Women’s Basketball will be holding their Summer Youth Camp June 7-10 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. for Grades 5 to 8 and 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. for newbies in Grades 2 to 8. the fourth year.
The cost is $ 75 for grades 5 to 8 and $ 70 for grades 2 to 4. Campers will be instructed by North Brett White’s head coach and staff, as well as college and high school players.

Eastern girls host children’s basketball camp
Columbus East Girls Basketball is currently picking up registrations for its annual Kids’ Basketball Camp, which will be held from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on June 7, 8, 10 and 11 for students in grades six to eight.
The camp focuses on teaching the fundamentals and provides the children with exercises they can continue to do after camp to improve. The cost is $ 50, and all campers will receive a t-shirt. Additional prizes will be awarded to the daily contest winners and the camper of the week.

Two good basketball camps for June
Mel Good will once again host the Two Good Basketball Camp from 8 a.m. to noon June 7-10 in Ceraland for boys and girls ages 8-15.
