PUBLIC NOTICES: Changes to the Moonrakers junction, trail closures and liquor permit applications
MOONRAKERS: The “no waiting at any time” and “loading” restrictions on the A4311 Cricklade Road, Beechcroft Road and Whitworth Road will be revised in accordance with the new junction route at Moonrakers junction.
The “ no waiting at any time ” restriction on the south side of Beechcroft Road will be replaced with a controlled level crossing and there will be new access routes for bus stops where stopping is prohibited except for buses on the east and west side of the A4311 Cricklade road.
This will be done through Swindon City Council Order 2021 (Waiting and Loading Restrictions and Consolidation of Parking Spaces) (Amendment # G)
The council is changing the dedicated bus lanes on Cricklade Road south and north at the Moonrakers Junction location.
This is done under Decree 2019 amending Swindon Borough Council Decree (# 1) 2020 (Bus Reserved Lanes, Bus Doors and Bus Reserved Lanes Only)

If you wish to question the validity of the ordinances, or any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is outside the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or on the grounds that any requirement of this law or everything
the instrument made under it has not been complied with with regard to orders, you may, within six weeks from May 5, 2021, apply to the High Court for this purpose.

WROUGHTON: A new traffic order (part number STR000142) will stop traffic between 24 and 34 Marlborough Road between May 17 and 21.
This ordinance is introduced to allow the installation of a new water pipe. Traffic will be diverted via Pipers Way, Swindon Road and Moormead Road.
WANBOROUGH: Road improvement works (order code STR000144) will prevent pedestrians from using the WA8 public trail.
The path will be closed between the WA7 trail and The Marsh for a limited time. Additionally, the WA22 and WA8 trails will be closed from WA8 to the A419 between May 21 and August 22, 2021 until August 22, 2021.
Also, the WA24 trail will be closed between the WA43 trail and the A419 between the same dates. For these three closures, no alternative route is available.
The WA25 trail will be closed between the WA23 trail and the A419 for a limited time only. Pedestrians will be diverted via the PROW WA23 trail.
OAKHURST: on Oakhurst Way which will close the road between Garsington Drive and Thamesdown Drive.
Traffic will be diverted via Garsingston Drive, Queen Elizabeth Drive and Thamesdown Drive. The works will take place on May 12 and 13.
BLUNSDON: A traffic order (reference STR000186) is being introduced to allow pavement resurfacing on Sams Way between Sutton Park and Churchill Avenue and Sams Lane between Churchill Avenue and High Street.
The works will take place from May 10 to 14. Traffic will be diverted via High Street, Ermin Street, B4019, Sams Lane and vice versa. For more information regarding any of the above three commands, contact 01703 463040 citing the corresponding reference.
MARLBOROUGH: Eversfield Organic Ltd is applying for a premises license for 109 High Street.
The license, if granted, is to allow the sale of alcohol for consumption on and off the premises Monday through Saturday 8:30 am to 10 pm and 8:30 am to 5 pm on Sunday.
In addition, Eduart Berisha is requesting an amendment to a premises license for Aldbourne’s post office, cafe and grocery store at 13 The Square. If granted, the request will allow the sale of alcohol to be consumed on site. The establishment already has an off-premises retail license. The intention to change the establishment’s license is to sell wine, beer and ale in the restaurant area with food between the cafe’s opening hours.
