Registration for the student parking lot at the summer 2021 university park begins on May 6

UNIVERSITY PARK, PA – Registration for the student parking lot at University Park for the summer of 2021 will be available exclusively online on the Penn State Transportation Services website starting at noon on Thursday, May 6.

All students, regardless of their semester level, can register for the summer parking lot.

Information on the available student permit options can be found here. For students who will not need on-campus parking before the start of Summer II semester, permit prices will be prorated at the start of each month. Current prorated rates will appear at checkout when purchasing online.

Terms & Conditions

  • Active Penn State ID and Access Account.
  • License plate (s) information (vehicles must be owned by the student or an immediate family member).

General registration

At the end of registration, students print a temporary permit to display on their dashboard for immediate parking. Students can return to their account to print the permit if a printer is not available during registration.

Permits will be mailed to the student’s local or campus address. To ensure fast and accurate delivery, students must enter the full address, including house number and apartment number. Failure to notify the State College post office of a new off-campus address by submitting their green change of address card before registering for a permit may prevent the permit from being issued.

Once the permanent permit is issued, the printable temporary permit should be discarded and the permanent permit displayed on the rearview mirror of the vehicle.

Any student experiencing problems while attempting to enroll for a permit is advised to avoid double-clicking or using the Back button, as these actions may result in errors during the transaction. If any problems arise while attempting to check in, exit the site and contact Transportation Services for assistance.

Permit improvements and temporary permits

General registration for the student parking lot will not be available at the Transportation Services office. However, students eligible for upgrades (such as graduate assistants and selected student-athletes) and students holding a U.S. Disability Act sign who wish to purchase an additional parking permit for parking access. principal must go to the Transportation Services Bureau to obtain them. allowed. General registration for student parking must be completed online before applying for these options. Students registering for short-term and one-day permits must also register with the Office of Transportation Services.
