The 4 roads in Redbridge where drivers were fined over £ 55,000 just for parking
We have all received these dreaded letters from the board.
This is one of those fine notices where you violate a driving restriction or park incorrectly.
There are places where you can park and probably get out of it (although we don’t recommend that you do).
There are others, however, where you are very likely to be fined due to the tight parking restrictions on the road.
In Redbridge, as of 2017, a total of 44,608 penalty notices were issued for illegal parking on the streets of the borough.
Almost £ 2.2million has been raised during this period and this will no doubt continue to increase.
Already £ 128,000 in fines have been collected this year alone and here are some of the riskiest areas you can park in Redbridge where people have been slapped with parking tickets.

1. Chemin de Mayville
This is the road from Ilford Lane where you are most likely to get an expensive fine for improper parking.
There are many blue signs on the street indicating that a car is allowed to partially park on the curb or sidewalk.
There are also many homeowners who have written on their garages not to park in front of their property as it is used 24 hours a day.
The road itself is densely populated with houses and cars, so it’s no wonder many are fined for shady parking.
A total of 1,592 PCNs have been issued for this route and £ 70,500 collected from members of the public over the past four years just for this route.
2. Easternville Gardens
Here is the second ignoble road where you must refrain from parking willy-nilly.
It has already paid 89 PCN reviews for this year, totaling £ 4,235, which is pretty staggering considering how many people have been inside.
The road leaves Eastern Avenue, not too far from McDonalds in Newbury Park.
Over the past four years, more than £ 62,000 has been poured into city council coffers by reckless drivers illegally parking on this small road.
3. Manford Way
It’s a long, winding road not too far from Grange Hill tube station.
980 people have been unlucky enough to be fined on this road in the past four years.
The total paid in terms of PCN fines is £ 58,395 and above.
It doesn’t help with a Tesco Express, Greggs and a cafe clustered together on this route.
4. Danish Route
This road exits the constantly busy Ilford Lane as you make your way to Barking Park.
1092 PCNs have been issued since 2017 for those illegally parked on this road, although only 8 have been issued so far this year.
£ 56,758 has been the damage done over the years making this road a road to avoid if you are looking for a quick place to park.
