The Hook Lighthouse grounds will reopen on Saturday
Hook Lighthouse will reopen to the public on Saturday May 1. The iconic lighthouse is Wexford’s most popular tourist attraction and the team has taken carefully measured steps to safely reopen.
The Wexford attraction will be open on weekends only (including holidays) from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. until current Covid-19 restrictions allow the reopening of guided tours of the medieval lighthouse tower and the Hook Lighthouse gift shop.
At this time, due to current restriction levels, visitors will be able to access the grounds of the magnificent lighthouse, however, tours are not available at this time. The lighthouse facilities will be open, such as the parking lot and washrooms. The Hook Lighthouse Café and ‘The Seahorse’ will serve a take out menu of hot drinks, sandwiches, soups, chowders and snacks, in addition, the outdoor dining options ‘The Seahorse’ and Hook BBQ Station will be open. as soon as time permits.
“ We are thrilled to be able to start doing what we do best again and look forward to welcoming visitors back to the beautiful Hook Lighthouse starting May 1, ” said Lighthouse Manager Lorraine Waters.

We want to assure all of our visitors that we have taken all possible measures to ensure a safe environment for all and we look forward to welcoming visitors, old and new, to the site of the oldest operating lighthouse in the world.
