Travelers always at the parking lot of Diss station
Travelers remain in the parking lot of a station more than two months after their arrival.
Several caravans and vehicles first made their way to the Gilray Road parking lot in Diss on Tuesday, February 16.
The area is used as an overflow facility for passengers on board trains at Diss station, although it is managed by RCP Parking Ltd rather than Greater Anglia.
Wednesday, April 28 in the morning, a trio of caravans, three vans and two cars were still visible in the parking lot.
As trespassing is a civil matter rather than a criminal offense, eviction of unauthorized occupants is the responsibility of the landowner, not the police.
To reclaim land, a landowner can seek a possession order in court which can then be served on trespassers.
RCP Parking Ltd has been asked for comments.
