A search is underway for two men who gunned down two workers outside an IHOP in Baton Rouge around noon on Tuesday, leaving one of the workers dead.
MPs said the two employees were on a break when the shooters pulled up in the IHOP parking lot along Siegen Lane. The two people got out of the car, shot the two employees, and then fled in the same car, WBRZ reports.
A victim was found at the restaurant and died shortly after. Paramedics found the second victim on the road after trying to drive himself to hospital; he should survive, police say.
Investigators say the car that was used in the shooting was reported stolen from another parish and then abandoned after the shooting. He was later found on fire on a road running through the neighborhood where the second victim was found, WBRZ reports.
The East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Deputies are still searching for the two suspects.
