Christmas events are back after a year of absence due to the coronavirus pandemic – and they seem more popular than ever.
Wrexham didn’t have a city light on, but one of the most popular Christmas events will be making a comeback this week.
The Victorian Christmas Market is back and will be expanding into the city center, with lots of fun for the whole family.

The Met Office weather forecast indicates a pleasant day and evening for the event. With winds of around 12 mph and highs of 7 Â° C, this will be perfect weather for a Christmas market.
Here’s everything you need to know about the Victorian Christmas Market in Wrexham.
WHEN IS THE VICTORIAN NOL MARKET?
The Victorian Christmas Market is held on Thursday, December 9.
WHERE IS THE MARKET?
The market will be spread throughout downtown Wrexham.
From Queens Square, the stalls extend to St Giles Church. The stalls will also extend to Hope Street.

WHAT TIME IS THE MARKET?
Market stalls will open at 12 p.m. and the event will last until 8 p.m. Entertainment will take place throughout the day.
WHAT ESTABLISHMENTS WILL BE THERE?
With over 100 booths present there will be plenty to choose from for the family.
There will be a wide variety of stalls available for you to grab these unique Christmas gifts. Festive treats will also be available for you to try at home.
WHAT ENTERTAINMENT IS THERE?
There will be Victorian street performers throughout the market as part of the theme. A traditional carousel will also be present and will certainly appeal to the youngest.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
The event is completely free.
WHERE CAN I PARK?
Parking in any Wrexham Council car park is free after 11 a.m. This does not include parking at Ty Pawb.
Library parking: LL11 1WS – 84 places available with 15 places for the disabled as well.
Waterworld car park: LL13 8BG – 417 places available including 16 disabled places.
Market street parking: LL13 8BB – 64 places available including nine disabled places.

Hope Street will be closed for the day to host the event.
ARE THERE COVID RESTRICTIONS?
Wrexham Council will follow the latest government guidelines at the event and if you go inside you will need a face covering unless you are medically exempt.
